ECC COVID-19 STUDENT SUPPORT

Further to the Western Australian government's recent announcement, some interim restrictions will remain in place for another week, however, this may change dependent on advice by the Department of Health.

From Monday 3 May:
• The Welcome Centre will return to normal opening hours
• Classes will return to normal teaching mode
• Face masks are still required to be worn when inside and if you are unable to physically distance when outdoors

Further to today’s announcement by the Western Australian government, interim restrictions will remain in place for the remainder of the week, however, this may change dependent on advice by the Department of Health. From Tuesday 27 April:

- classes will continue online all week following the government directive to universities
- the Welcome Centre will be open for enquiries only via phone and email
- the Student Counsellor will be available for appointments only via phone, Zoom

Further to today’s announcement by the Western Australian government, the ECC campus will be closed to staff, students, Pearson candidates and any other visitors until midnight Monday 26 April. A hard lockdown for the Perth metropolitan area and Peel districts is in effect from 12pm (midnight), 23 April, however, masks are mandatory from 6pm today.This may change, dependent on advice by the Department of Health.

Note:

Saturday 24 April Pearson tests are cancelled.

Monday 26 April is a public holiday.

The ECC Welcome Centre is open to students and visitors who may like to visit the campus. Student and Academic Services team members are available to provide a range of support services to all students. Staff are working regular business hours, Monday to Friday, from 8:00am till 5:00pm (closed Wednesday 9:30am till 11:00am).You can contact the team by:

ECC has a range of support services for our students, and in response to the COVID-19 situation, ECC services have moved an online (virtual) environment. Student and Academic Services team members remain available to provide support to all students. You can contact the team by:

Technology

ECC understands some students may have restricted access to laptops and computers. However, as this is a hard lockdown from 1-5 February, the ECC campus and the main ECU campuses are closed.

Staff and students are unable to access the Library, eLabs or any other classrooms. This may change dependent on advice by the Western Australian government, Department of Health and any subsequent announcements by ECU.
