Academic/Learning support

ECC has dedicated Learning Advisors to support your studies. You can make one-on-one appointments via email at learningsupport@ecc.edu.au or by completing this online form.

We can help you with:

• Language skills (writing, reading, listening, speaking, grammar, vocabulary & pronunciation)
• Study skills and academic writing (planning studies, time management, citation, referencing, etc)
• Basic IT skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet Search, Google Drive)
• Numeracy skills

Peer Mentoring

ECC supports students in Computing/IT and Engineering through its Peer Mentoring Program. Our peer mentors are experienced students who have successfully completed these units and understand the academic challenges you may be facing.

Peer mentoring provides a friendly and supportive learning environment where you can ask questions, clarify concepts, and build confidence in your studies.

Some units have peer mentors embedded in class, where mentors work alongside students during scheduled classes. In other units, peer mentors are available outside class time through one‑on‑one or small group sessions, depending on availability.

Peer mentors can help you with:

• Understanding core concepts
• Problem-solving and worked examples
• Assessment preparation
