What’s New at ECC – June 2026 Update!

Greetings from Edith Cowan College (ECC)!

We’re pleased to share a few important updates. With intake timelines moving fast, now is the best opportunity to work together to secure places for your students

ECC Accommodation Bursary – AUD1,500

A $1,500 accommodation bursary is available for students starting at ECC in:

    • June/July 2026
    • October 2026
    • February 2027

The bursary will be paid after the census date of the first trimester or semester.

This bursary will only be applied to offers accepted on or after Tuesday 2nd of June 2026.

Eligibility

To qualify, the student must:

    • Be a new international student from one of these countries:
      Botswana, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Philippines, South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, or Tanzania
    • Start an ECC Diploma or Foundation program (excluding Diploma of Health Science – Nursing)
    • Have accepted your offer on or after 2nd of June 2026.
    • Be enrolling at ECC for the first time
    • Study full-time:
      • 3 units (trimester) or
      • 4 units (semester)

ECC English requirement for Nursing stream

Even though the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia has updated its PTE requirements, ECC’s English entry requirements for the Nursing stream have not changed.

There are still places available for the Diploma of Health Science – Nursing for July 2026. Apply now to secure your place.

Diploma of Health Science – Speech Pathology Update

From 2027, the Diploma of Speech Pathology will no longer be offered.

If your students want a pathway to the Bachelor of Speech Pathology at ECU, they should apply through the Foundation Program.

Pathway Details:

    • Program: Foundation Program – General Stream
    • English requirement: IELTS 6.5 (6.0) or equivalent
    • Duration: 1 year
    • Next intake: February 2027

Progression Details:

To enter the Bachelor of Speech Pathology at ECU:

    • WAM: 80% in Foundation
    • English: IELTS 7.5 (7.0) or equivalent

Degree Duration

    • Bachelor of Speech Pathology: 4 years
