Spending your first Christmas in Perth as an international student? There’s no better way to experience the festive spirit than attending one of the city’s most iconic free Christmas events—the WASO Lotterywest Christmas Spectacular at RAC Arena.
A Magical Night for Students
Our students were thrilled to join thousands of locals for this unforgettable celebration. The concert featured over 150 performers, festive favourites, and sing-along classics that brought the holiday cheer to life. Conducted by Jen Winley and hosted by Genevieve McCarthy, the event showcased incredible talents like Calista Nelmes, Jess Hitchcock, Johnny Manuel, and Gina Williams-Ghouse—plus a special visit from Santa!
Why Free Events Matter for International Students
Moving to a new city can be exciting but also challenging. Free events like this give students the chance to connect with the community, make friends, and experience Perth’s vibrant culture without worrying about the cost. Perth is full of opportunities for students to explore, and this concert was the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.
