Wellbeing and Performance: A Valuable Session for ECC Postgraduate Students

It was a wonderful opportunity to attend the student wellbeing session, which took place from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the ECU Joondalup Sports Centre on 1 April 2026. The session was organised for postgraduate students from Edith Cowan College to help us better understand the importance of balancing academic commitments with personal health and wellbeing.

The session strongly highlighted the importance of self care and adopting a healthy lifestyle. It was designed to help students develop a positive mindset through physical activity and maintain a healthy body and mind. I also appreciated the opportunity to become familiar with the ECU Sports Centre facilities and to meet the staff, which made the environment feel welcoming and supportive.

From my perspective, this was a very beneficial session and a timely reminder that while academic commitments are important, personal wellbeing should never be overlooked.

Overall, this session helped reinforce the strong connection between wellbeing and performance as university students. Moreover, I truly see the strong emphasis of the wellbeing initiatives organised for us.

Thank you again for organising such a meaningful session. I hope to participate in similar initiatives in the future.
