Perth is the state capital and largest city of Western Australia. It is also the 4th most populist city in Australia. It’s geographic coordinates are Latitude: 31° 58'South Longitude: 115° 49'East.

Time Zone

Perth shares the same time zone as many of its Asian neighbours, including Bali (Indonesia), Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, The Philippines, Taiwan and China.

Strongest Economy

Perth currently has the strongest economy in Australia, which means there are plenty of opportunities for students to work part-time, as well as find professional jobs once they have completed university study.


Temperatures in Perth range from 20 – 35◦C in Summer, 15 - 30◦C in Autumn, 7-20◦C in Winter and 15-25◦C in Spring. It does not snow in Perth.

Fringe world

FRINGE WORLD Festival is Western Australia's most popular festival and the third largest Fringe in the world.

The 2018 Festival will run from 26 January to 25 February 2018 and feature more than 750 events at 130 venues all over the Perth metro area.

Perth Festival

Perth Festival has been disrupting and celebrating Perth and Western Australia for 65 years. It is Australia’s premier curated multi-arts festival and one of the greatest in the world, known for commissioning major new works, celebrating the unique qualities of Perth and engaging diverse audiences. At Festival time in Perth, there is no other place like this on Earth. For a few weeks every glorious summer, the best artists from Western Australia and the world stand shoulder to shoulder in creative unity with the community.

Sculptures by the Sea

2 March – 19 March 2018

Now in its 14th year, the exhibition is one of Perth’s largest free public events, attracting an estimated 250,000 visitors. More than 70 Australian and international artists are set to showcase their work across the 18 day exhibition.
