Our ECC students recently enjoyed an unforgettable day at Caversham Wildlife Park, where they got up close with some of Australia’s most iconic animals. From cuddly koalas to friendly kangaroos, it was a truly hands-on experience that brought Australian wildlife to life.
Students loved feeding kangaroos and learning about their behaviour, while the koala encounter was a highlight—perfect for photos and memorable moments. The visit offered a unique opportunity to connect with nature while discovering more about Australia’s rich biodiversity.
This experience is part of the Discover Perth Through Students’ Eyes project, proudly sponsored by StudyPerth, giving students meaningful ways to explore local culture beyond the classroom.
If you’re keen to see koalas and kangaroos, Caversham is a great place to start. Other options include Perth Zoo, Yanchep National Park, and Cohunu Koala Park. For a free experience, you can even spot wild kangaroos at places like Heirisson Island or certain open areas in Yanchep National Park.
