When Equal Opportunity Meets Determination: Keisya’s International Education Journey to ECU

Could a vocational school qualification be the first step towards higher education overseas? 

For Keisya, the answer is yes. After graduating from SMK Negeri 2 Denpasar, one of Bali’s leading vocational schools, Keisya began her international study journey at Edith Cowan College, where she is completing a Diploma of Commerce before progressing to a Bachelor of Commerce at ECU.

Her success highlights the opportunities available to vocational school (SMK) graduates to pursue higher education internationally. Adding to this achievement, Keisya was awarded an ECC Merit-Based Scholarship for Trimester 3, 2025, recognising her strong academic performance and dedication.

Keisya’s journey is an inspiration to current and future SMK students, showing that with determination and hard work, global study opportunities are within reach.
