This week, our ECC English students stepped out of their usual routine and into a dynamic joint class—bringing fresh energy, new connections, and a powerful reminder of how collaborative learning can transform the classroom experience.
Rather than focusing on grammar or vocabulary, this session centred on group cohesion: encouraging students to connect, communicate, and experience how much more enjoyable and effective English learning becomes when supported by their peers.
Students were paired with new classmates and quickly moved past the initial shyness. Before long, the room was buzzing with conversation, creativity, and genuine teamwork. Through collaborative tasks—including creative activities such as short TikTok-style videos and group discussions—students shared ideas, asked questions, and discovered that these interactions are far more than simple icebreakers. They are an essential part of learning naturally, confidently, and with purpose.
By the end of the session, lively small groups filled the room, and the collaborative spirit flowed throughout the campus. Students left feeling more comfortable speaking up, engaging with others, and contributing to a shared learning environment.
This session was a great reminder that language learning thrives when students feel connected—and if this is any indication, the rest of the semester promises to be an exciting and inspiring journey.
